This morning I attended to a photoshoot with La Mirada de Medusa, a small production company composed by Iván Alvarado, Estefanía Muñoz, Sheila Muñoz and Alex Cotet, with which I participated on a challenge they have on their Instagram account.
The challenge consist on, during this October (moth of the death and Halloween), post daily a series of horror or fantastic pictures to their Instagram account and tell a story related to that day's photoshoot. In order to complete that challenge, they count with actors and models who they photograph, and they also tag some related accounts with the theme in order to get noticed on the sector too.

In my singular case, my photoshoot's theme was portraying a gardener, in fact the tittle of the photoshoot itself is 'El Jardinero' (The Gardener). With several pictures, the story of this character is being told, a kind of survivor of a nuclear apocalypse who survives thanks to his 'macabre' crops, including human members growing in the dirt while the gardener himself mimics his environment, some plants grow in several parts of his body that finally will consume him, turning him into a 'Plant-Man.'
The shooting itself took us the whole morning of a rainy Saturday in Montjuïc. We started in Montjuïc's Greek Theatre to put on some make up, dressing up and characterize my character and, why not, wait for the rain to stop a bit. Once dressed and characterized, seeing that the rain won't stop, and maybe it can bring a special touch to the photoshoot session itself, we decided to lead towards the locations where the pictures were going to be taken: an isolated grove close to Montjuïc's road. It didn't take us too much time to get the material we were looking for, and we finished the photoshoot session n around 15 minutes, also, we were looking to make it as soon as possible because I was getting wet and wearing short-sleeves, so surely I will end up getting a cold, but finally I consider that the final result was very professional besides the rush, and luckily I didn't bring a cold back home. Here there are some pictures of the final result, I hope that they worth it, and you like them.

Thanks to the crew in La Mirada de Medusa. To Iván for counting on me in one of his photoshoot sessions after working together in the short-film 'Un Baño' (A Bathroom). To Estefanía for her skills when getting a realist and professional makeup on my face and hands and to her sister Sheila for her patience, the entertaining conversations and generally for her priceless help. Thank you very much to each one of you, partners, it's been a pleasure to work with you, besides the inconveniences or problems I might cause. Hope you want to count on me for future projects!
Finally, I will caringly recommend following La Mirada de Medusa's Instagram account by clicking here. I hope you the best in your challenge, La Mirada de Medusa! Keep on like this, you will get far!
