Dramatized Reading: 'Final de Trayecto'

Yesterday, Saturday the 26th, in Rambla Catalunya's Casa del Libro the 'Mañana de Lecturas Dramatizadas' (Dramatized Reading Morning) of Festival MUTIS XIII took place. A morning that got us entertained from 11am up to 2pm approximately, enjoying new creation plays. One of these creations was a fragment of 'Final de Trayecto' (Terminus), a recent text by Misael Sanroque with hints of the theatre of Stoppard or Beckett, where I portrayed as one of the characters, though only on paper.

After 2021 without barely going on stage, on a personal level, yesterday's dramatized reading was such a gift for me, as well as a challenge. And although I possibly wasn't able to give one of my best performances of the character and we only had rehearsed a little, the reading itself had a moderately good reception among the assisting ones. Later on, in a small debate after the dramatized readings, it was highlighted the plot of the play and the created atmosphere.

I also counted on the participation of Lara Guillén and Alejandro Oya on stage, which I want to recognize their implication and the well-generated environment. I want to thank Misael Sanroque (the author) too, for wanting to count on me again in another of his projects. If we had been able to generate something relatively good in just a week and with few previous rehearsals; probably this project, if going ahead, would become something way bigger.

However, for the moment, the future of this project is still uncertain. The dramatist doesn't certainly know if increasing the play's duration or keeping it like that as a kind of short theatre play to be performed in the future, sooner or later. Without any news, we must await.

Regarding the rest of Mañana de Lecturas Dramatizadas itself, it was held on a quiet morning filled with text of different topics and formats that probably will see the light soon. Congratulations to all the ones who showed a little piece of your art, and I hope to see those creations soon on stage.
