Today we return to CC. Cotxeres Borrell at 19h, this time performing Three High Hats.
What is the play about?
Three High Hats tells the singular night of Dionysus before his wedding day. Installed on a provincial pension, he is about to get some sleep and dream with the high expectations awaiting him the day after, but his sleep gets disturbed when Bubby Burton's Music Hall dancer troupe enters the room, and he meets Paula, a young girl who will change Dionysus vision about the world he knows.
This play shows the conflict behind that meeting, hiding in the bottom the detachment of two divergent worlds: on one hand, Dionysus' world, a very conventional one; ; on the other, Paula's world, further from clichés and conventions. From the attraction of these two characters, an exposition, both comical and dramatical, will emerge from their contradictions, unreachable desires, from the ridicule surrounding them and the frustration their lives seem to head into.
Thanks to all the ones who assisted to the play, to the crew of Cotxeres Borrell for all the help given and, above all, thanks to the rest of my fellow cast companions, it's such a pleasure to perform under all your support, especially when this was the last time we've represented this play.
