Yesterday one of the most intense weekends I might have lived during my whole artistic career came to an end, yesterday Almagro's CUAL Festival came to an end.
When I came to the festival, I was aiming to stage the play and meet new people from all around the peninsular theatrical spheres, but I never had imagined that I would arrive at a significant level of complicity with them. Maybe this is one of the festivals in which I felt more union between theatre troupes, we shared the same accommodations and activities among ourselves. We might all share the same aim but, above all, we all love THEATRE; that's why it seems incredible how easy it is to create a comradeship feeling among all the ones who participated in this festival.
On the last day of CUAL Festival, a small award ceremony took place, a very warm and cosy one where the members of 'Los Fusilados' (Executed) didn't win any prize, but instead, we received many suggestions to improve, something we are very grateful for. After that, we enjoyed a great paella as the last meal we shared together and, since then, we had some spare time to chat around the accommodation's pool but, above all, we used it to enjoy the very last few moments with the other troupes who, little by little, were saying goodbye and taking leave.
In addition, taking profit from Castile-La Mancha's natural landscapes we did a small promotional photoshoot for our play thanks to the invaluable help of our fellow friend from Malaestirpe Teatro, Tristana Martínez (someone who we just consider another Executed). We appreciate gratefully your availability and will, and we hope to see you again sooner than later.
Los Fusilados are back again in Barcelona wanting to improve and with our eyes set already on a new battlefront, Festival Joven Mutis por el Foro that will take place in Pamplona next October.
