Yesterday, Saturday the 23rd of June, I attended in Poble Sec to the shooting of 'Un baño' (A bathroom), a short-film written and directed Nacho Bibián produced by 'The Collective', creative lab and film hub.

The shooting, as the tittle itself states, took place in a very narrow bathroom where, due to the shooting's circumstances, the environment was a bit suffocating. The recording got us entertained during the whole morning and afternoon and though the inconveniences, the final material of the short-film was pretty decent.
On the other hand, the environment you felt in the shooting itself was admirable, you were able to feel companionship and working disposition and besides I only knew the crew and cast members for some days ago, I made my way into the group, being able of enlivening the day with some jokes or improvisations in front of the camera.

The final result was quite productive, besides the inconveniences we all got involved and gave the best of us, so we finished the shooting in the scheduled time. The footage itself was easy to shoot, though in the first takes both actors and crew were a bit cold, during the workday and as we were creating a good dynamic on set, the material improved and some takes were admirable. Also, we had taken some previous rehearsals on set during that week, so both actors and crew knew what to do, which allowed us that, as we were shooting, the environment loosen up and some improvised moments appeared on camera which I hope they figure in the final cut.

Some pictures taken during the breaks on set
There are many memories and anecdotes live during yesterday and I can only thank the crew, the dynamic and the good vibes and work we were able to create during the shooting.
Thanks to Nacho Bibián for his advices from direction, his patience, his confidence and the fact of letting me the licence to improvise with Rejo, the character he created previously and the one I portrayed on screen.
Also thanks to Alexia Pérez (Sara), Alejandro Oya (Óscar), Gabriela Pineda (Natalia), Joselina Sánchez (Carla) and Ricard Juanola (Albert), my co-start who I consider my friends now, for giving the best of themselves when portraying their respective characters and for being able to create a festive environment and a friendship in only a little time (a top celebration is still remaining).
I also want to thank Ástid Albornoz, Misael Sanroque and Cristian Núñez for this chance and for trust in me though I don't belong to the acting school; to all the crew behind the scenes (Sebas, Laurence, Jordi, Iván and Dani) for their patience, help and making me feel at ease and relaxed on set.

Now we only have to wait until the final cut, that is intended to be premiered during the month of September. Until then, here you have some pictures taken during the day and the promise that since I've got some material, I will upload it sooner as I can. With no more to say, see you in the next post.
