Yesterday morning, Saturday the 17th of November, I attended the shooting of the sequence 'Suplantación' (Souplantation) conducted by some students in UAB's Audiovisual Communication and directed by Iván Alvarado. The sequence, shot in an abandoned factory in Sabadell's industrial area, centres on a killer clown, my character, with some fetish or obsession with dressing up his victims with costumes of circus-related characters and on how he develops his modus operandi with his last victim.

The shooting took us the whole morning, which we inverted in preparing the set and putting make-up on, and also the first afternoon hours, taking profit of the light hours that November offered us during these days. In general terms, it didn't take us too much effort, thanks to the present cast and crew, and the only most noticeable inconvenience we found was to adapt ourselves to the requirements of the shot material (a sequence of 1'30"). Anyway, we were able to solve these minutiae without too many headaches and I hope the final result will be worth it, though the director promised us a special version of the project as a kind of director's cut without so many technical and timing requirements.

In general terms, it could be said that yesterday's shooting was a successful one, and it even let us some time to eat and know each other for a bit, an experience to remember. The fact of shooting in a place such that grim and ramshackle factory brought a plus of realism to our performances and inspired us when creating our respective characters.

Thanks to all the ones involved in this project for giving me this chance: To Iván Alvarado (director) for counting on me to portray this protagonist character in the footage, for his advice, and help, and for giving me the opportunity to experiment with the character's most macabre side. To Laura Vivancos, Judith Chacón, and David Alcalde (cast members), for giving the best of themselves on camera and making me feel comfortable working on set. I also want to acknowledge the rest of the technical staff in this shooting (to Berta, Judith, and Sergi) for their help and the great job performed both in the set's decoration and during the shooting itself. Finally, I would like to mention and say thank you for her work to Estefanía Muñoz (make-up artist), with whom I already worked in 'La Mirada de Medusa's photoshoot, for the spectacular make-up and the realism she gets when developing her job. A million thanks to all of you, I hope to collaborate again with you all sooner than later!

For the time being, we must wait for a couple of days to watch the final result. Anyway, during this post, I've been posting some pictures of the day and some frames of the shot material itself. I hope you enjoy and value them, since I have the final cut of the sequence, I will post it in this post. Stay tuned to the news, see you in the next post!
