'Lysistrata' takes new horizons: Majorca's tour

I wanted to tell you about this since several days ago... It's official, 'Lysistrata' travels to Majorca for letting people on the island enjoy Aristophanes' most famous play under this production of La Coquera Teatro. When and where?: 

- Sunday the 11th of February at 19h at Capdepera's Municipal Theatre (Carrer Col·legi, 18)  Tickets 10€ (general), 8€ (early tickets, youngsters, retired and groups).

What is Lysistrata about?

Lysistrata (Greek: Λυσιστράτη "the one who dissolves the army") is Aristophanes’ most famous play.

We travel to Athens in 411a.C, in the middle of a war between Athens and Sparta that lasts for twenty year. Before the dark reality and stubbornness of men to keep on fighting, women, led by Lysistrata, will take a sexual strike in order to get that peace needed in Greek city-states. In the absence of making love... will they finish the war?

A Greek style comical utopia.

Also, taking into account this occasion, we wanted to renew the play's promotional pictures we have for a bit. So, last Thursday we were able to enjoy a professional photoshoot session, thanks to the help and organization of DateCuenta photography school, to which we want to thank for all the help, care and attention provided during that evening, and we hope to see soon.
