Today Los Fusilados (Els Afusellats) perform in Pamplona's Casa de la Juventud at 17.30h within Festival Joven Mutis por el Foro.
What is the play about?
Los Fusilados (Executed) tells the story of a singular group of republican soldiers on guard who, during a night in the Spanish Civil War's aftermath, find the chance to deflect when they have to take care of a truck cargo loaded with enormous paintings leading towards the frontier.
Temptation knocks at the door, they only need to make one of those big canvases disappear and occupy its place before dawn to make their wish come true, an escape to such desperation and such nonsense of a war that is already lost. There's full moon, no sound is heard. Finally, hopelessness and treason will meet under a painting's shadow.
