This evening, at 18:45h in ETSEIB, 'Lysistrata' participates in Barcelona's V Premios de Teatro Universitario (University Theatre Awards), commonly known as Premios Cascabel (Bell Awards). A festival which gathers the best university theatre plays from Barcelona's scene and puts them into contest under the sight of a jury.

What is Lysistrata about?
Lysistrata (Greek: Λυσιστράτη "the one who dissolves the army") is Aristophanes' most famous play.
We travel to Athens in 411a.C, in the middle of a war between Athens and Sparta that lasts for twenty year. Before the dark reality and stubbornness of men to keep on fighting, women, led by Lysistrata, will take a sexual strike in order to get that peace needed in Greek city states. In the absence of making love... will they finish the war?
A Greek style comical utopia.
The play had a great acceptation among the assisting audience, with their laugher and applauses. It was quite noticeable that it was a play that already had its some path because we had been in Porta4 on March. In general terms, and regarding the critiques heard of the audience and some members of the jury, it could be said that we're going to aspire to some prize within the festival, but it's better off to lean on that. Thanks to all the public who took a few of their time to come and watch us and congratulation to the rest of my cast mates, especially to Francina Caules (my new female Coriander) who gave her most and her readiness when facing the character in this cover.
For the time being, it's time to wait to the awards gala of Premios Casabel, but don't worry, I'll be informing you about the news regarding this play.

With Francina Caules in one of the scenes in 'Lysistrata'.
