Yesterday evening, our season with 'Homenaje a Lorca' in Teatre Tantarantana's Àtic 22 came to an end with two shows filled with audience (from around 30 people each), same as the day before.
What is this play about?
'Homenaje a Lorca' (Lorca's Homage) is an initiatory tour around Granada's author and poet, where some of his less known characters appear. It's a proposal stated by dint of contrasts, with chiaroscuro as a place where magic lies, where anyone can be anything or many things at a time; and the blinding light, as an indisputable truth that burns and equalizes everything, where nuances are not allowed, just annulation and kept silence. A walk around topics like the impossibility of being, the complaints, the oppression of collective fiction or the mutability of conventions to see the world with new eyes.

With this week it's been two weeks and a half performing this play in Àtic 22 and that means that our season there comes to an end. They've been a couple of curious and intense weeks, with lots of dedication and efforts where each day we achieved to fill a show with full audience for them to enjoy this sensorial experience around Lorca's universe. Thanks to all the assisting ones for donating us a part of your time, for your critiques (positive at the most) and for sharing our passion for theatre with us. I also want to acknowledge to my partner's effort, advices and for being on the ball besides the inconveniences.
Our season in Àtic 22 is already finished, a theatre hall who made us feel (almost literally) as we were at home, and so we have to thank so much that this play has been premiered on a professional theatre. Thanks to all Tantarantana's staff members, to the programmers, and especially to Abel Vernet for his availability and help. A million thanks!
'Homenaje a Lorca' faces the rest of this summer months with a small break. But stay tuned, soon there will be some news regarding this singular homage. If you want to be 100% informed about the news, follow us on Facebook and Instagram. See you soon!
