Festival MUTIS Awards

Last Sunday, the Awards Gala of Festival MUTIS VII took place in CaixaForum as a perfect ending for the festival itself. The event was filled with some music, awards, some surprises, but above all THEATRE, abundant theatre.

'Besos Fumados' (Stoned Kissed) opted for three prizes in its category.

- Best Lead Actress (Lara Muslera)

- Best Director (Misael Sanroque)

- Best Dramaturgy (Misael Sanroque)

Finally, the troupe La Meridiana won the prize for Best Dramaturgy and an honour recognition of Lara Muslera's job was done.

Iggy Planas commented: "It's always good to receive awards and recognitions. What I know after this gala is that we have excellent source material, the text itself, and we know how to make it alive on stage, though we can always improve considerably if we want to make some future for this play."

Regarding 'Besos Fumados' project, it's currently looking for some new spaces or festivals to be performed, always looking for new ways to improve the play itself. Since then, we will have to wait, but we'll keep you aware of that.
