Yesterday evening, Friday the 9th of June at 18:30h, the award ceremony of Barcelona's V Premis de T.U (Barcelona's University Theatre Awards), commonly known as Premios Cascabel (Bell Awards). This gala claimed for another year the value of Barcelona's university theatre and the quality of the montages belonging to 6 different theatre troupes who participated (Aula de Teatre de la UIC, Aula de Teatre de UB, AulaScenica, La Piscifactoría, Grupo Teatral Utopía y La Coquera Teatro). Iggy Planas participated with 'Lysistrata', a theatre piece that had several nominations and prizes.

Finally, the jury stated the following:
'Lysistrata' (7 nominations)
Best Diffusion (Laia Cardona and Carmen Ibáñez) WINNERS
Best Scenography (La Coquera Teatro)
Best Costume (La Coquera Teatro) WINNER
Best Lighting (La Coquera Teatro)
Best Supporting Actor (Iggy Planas)
Best Leading Actress (Elena García)
Best Adapted Dramaturgy (Laia Cardona y Carmen Ibáñez)

Detail of the prizes
At the end of the award ceremony, Iggy Planas stated:
"It's always grateful to be considered when you expose your art, a fact of this is this nomination to Best Supporting Actor for a character that encapsulates and embodies the representation of various men (Male Coriander). On the other hand, this is already the third consecutive year when I participate in Bell Awards with La Coquera and I feel my progress in this troupe is improving day after day.
I'm totally thankful of my nomination to Best Supporting Actor, though for now I must support and deliver the prizes to the winners in my group (Iggy was the only representative of 'Lysistrata' in the gala). These two prizes and the seven nominations have been achieved after months of rehearsals, effort and dedication of all the constituents of this play which has derived on this. It seems quite phony to only talk about the prizes and awards when, inside every single play, there is an internal value which overcomes any merit or recognition, but in this sector recognitions are an important reinforcement for making a play carry on. Thanks for these nominations and the prizes that will help us to keep improving this play!
Our Lysistrata can say that, after a year performing in Porta4 in March and after performing in Bell Awards too, it can be proud of being in the best shape possible to carry on and face a near future. However, now it's time to rest for these summer months to retake the play with more strength after vacations."
