Today we have premiered our singular version of Miguel de Mihura's 'Tres Sombreros de Copa' (Three High Hats) in Festival MUTIS.
What is this play about?
Three High Hats tells the singular night of Dionysus before his wedding day. Installed on a provincial pension, he is about to get some sleep and dream with the high expectations awaiting him the day after, but his sleep gets disturbed when Bubby Burton's Music Hall dancer troupe enters the room, and he meets Paula, a young girl who will change Dionysus vision about the world he knows.
This play shows the conflict behind that meeting, hiding in the bottom the detachment of two divergent worlds: on one hand, Dionysus' world, a very conventional one; on the other, Paula's world, further from clichés and conventions. From the attraction of these two characters, an exposition, both comical and dramatical, will emerge from their contradictions, unreachable desires, from the ridicule surrounding them and the frustration their lives seem to head into.
Thank you very much to all the audience who came to the event. Though it wasn't that much, their complicities and laughter while performing on stage are always good. A hundred thousand thanks to all the audience and the rest of the cast members of the play, it's been such a pleasure to enjoy this with you all.
See you soon on stages!

Final applauses.
