Today at 20h in ETSAB we premiere 'Red Wolf', a play where I participate as a director assistant.
What is 'Red Wolf' about?
Lina is a 14-year-old teen, quite mature and intelligent for her age. Ted is a 32-year-old photographer, attractive and self-confident.
After several weeks of chatting, they decide to go for a personal meeting; they go to a café, drink some coffee, talk about music, flirt for a while, and they decide to go to Ted's house to keep the party going. Everything seems to be great for the photographer until he faints and, when awakening, his personal nightmare begins.
'Red Wolf' talks about complex subjects such as pederasty, torture, the ease offered by the Internet to hide your identity and its consequent small protection: you'll never know if through the screen there's a big bad wolf or a small red riding hood. All this, taking into account that there are no good nor bad characters by their own definition, because everything is not what it seems.
The play in general terms had a great reception among the audience, some main objectives from the direction were achieved, and we had some unexpected reactions from the audiences. Thanks to all the ones who assisted to this premiere, and congratulations to Isaura Cots and Guillermo Cuadra for the job given on stage. Keep it up, guys!
'Red Wolf' is now looking for new spaces and chances to be performed, we also take into account the feedback and suggestions of the audience to improve it during the shoer life of this play.
